PATTERSON FOUNDATION AWARDS MORE THAN $166,000 IN GRANTS TO ORAL, ANIMAL HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS Nine national nonprofits selected based on need, community impact January 10, 2019 (ST. PAUL, Minn.) – The Patterson Foundation recently announced $166,034 in grant funding to nine nonprofit organizations in the oral and animal health fields. Patterson Foundation focuses its grants on programs that provide dental care to disadvantaged communities and assistance dogs to veterans and people with disabilities. “The organizations selected demonstrate incredible dedication to providing their communities with care, assistance and support,” said George Henriques, Patterson Foundation President. “These groups align with our mission to positively impact lives, and we are excited to help them continue their important work.” The nine organizations selected include: Dental: • American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation • Dental Lifeline Network • Evansville Christian Life Center, Inc. • Free Clinic of Southwest Washington • Holland Free Health Clinic • Operation Grace Minnesota Animal Health: • America’s VetDogs • Can Do Canines • Guide Dogs of America Last year, Patterson Foundation gave more than $1.2 million in grants and scholarships, resulting in 37,368 patients receiving oral health care, and more than 25 assistance dogs being placed with veterans or individuals with disabilities. “The hard work and humbling generosity of these organizations impact thousands of lives each year, and we are proud to be a part of their stories,” Henriques said.
